ELEVATE welcomes IEEE Student Branch!
The ELEVATE project was pleased to welcome representatives of the IEEE Student Branch University of Patras to the Brain–Computer Interface (BCI) Research Infrastructure located at the ECE Department of the University of Patras (https://bci.upatras.gr).
The visit provided an opportunity for students to explore the infrastructure's research activities, facilities, and technologies in Brain–Computer Interfaces (BCI), Neuro-AI, and Neuro-XR. The research team introduced the main research directions, demonstrated equipment including EEG and fNIRS systems and immersive technologies, and discussed opportunities for future collaboration, including technical workshops, hands-on demonstrations, and educational activities.
Bringing Research Closer to Students and Society
A key objective of ELEVATE is to strengthen research and innovation capacity while making scientific knowledge and emerging neurotechnologies more accessible to students and the wider public.
Through visits, workshops, demonstrations, and outreach activities, ELEVATE aims to encourage public engagement, inspire young researchers, and foster dialogue between academia and society. Opening research infrastructures to the community is an important step towards building a more inclusive, collaborative, and sustainable research environment.
We warmly thank the IEEE Student Branch University of Patras representatives for their enthusiasm, insightful questions, and interest in future collaboration. We look forward to welcoming more students and members of the wider community to our research infrastructure!
